We will bring the game collection of the Fachschaft, but you are also welcome to bring your own games. During the evening we will offer free snacks and drinks at cost price. The game evening will start on the 29.11. at 6:30 p.m. in the seminar room in the ground floor of the Humboldthaus (Pontstraße 41). Those who would like to help us with getting everything set up can already come at 6:20 p.m. to the Fachschaft (Augustinerbach 2a) and meet us there. We appreciate every helping hand. Everyone is welcome, including people from other faculties or friends. The following game night will likely take place on the 16.12. We are looking forward to seeing you, your Spiele-AK

Invitation for Blood on the Clocktower evening
by Lars Frost (Fachschaft I/1) 22 Nov '24

Dear game enthusiasts, for the 26th of November, the Fachschaft invites to the next Blood on the Clocktower evening. What is Blood on the Clocktower? Blood on the Clocktower is a social deception game, so a game where you try to deceive the enemy team. Those familiar with the game Werewolf will know the general principle. In Blood on the Clocktower there is an evil team with a demon, who can kill a player every night. The good team has to kill the demon. For that, they can execute one player per day. The good team therefore tries to find the demon through their own ability and discussions in small groups and plenum, and then tries to convince their own team to kill the suspected demon. The evil team tries to support and cover up the demon. Unlike Werwolf, dead players can still talk and have one vote after death. Usually, these ghost votes decide who wins on the last day. Also, all players, good and evil, have their own unique role and ability, which gives them power or information. To enable the evil team to better fake other roles, the demon learns 3 roles currently not in play during the start of the game. A round usually takes between 60 and 120 minutes. It is possible to join a running game, so it is no problem if you cannot be there from the start. The game has extra roles designed for joining later. When can we play it? We will start on the 26.11. at 18:30 and have time until 23:00. We will play in the seminar rooms ST 3-5 in SemiTEMP building [1]. If you have a version of the game, please bring it also with you. We will offer free snacks and water. Everyone is welcome, including people from other faculties or friends. The following Clocktower evening will take place on the 07.12. We are looking forward to seeing you, your Spiele-AK [1] https://maps.rwth-aachen.de/navigator/?lang=de&type=roadmap&obj=1665 <https://maps.rwth-aachen.de/navigator/?lang=de&type=roadmap&obj=1665>

We will meet at Friday afternoon on 10. January in the computer science building (time of day will be determined later). There, we will announce the theme and you can work and sleep during the weekend in the computer science building. /How will the groups be rated?/ Each group rates the games of the other groups to preselect candidates. You will also present your games in front of a jury at a separate meeting the following week. The jury, consisting ofrofessors and other well known personalities from the university, will then determine the ordered TOP3. /Places seem very limited, can I still take part with my group?/ If there are more people interested, than we can offer places for, we will draw, who gets a place. If you already have formed a group, you can fill in a common group name in the registration process, to be drawn together as a group. If you don't yet have a group, you can also form groups on the first meeting. Compared to the last Game-Jam, we also doubled the amount of places.
