Invitation to Puzzle and Puzzlehunt Evening
by Fachschaft 16 Jun '26

16 Jun '26

Dear MaPhIns, We are introducing a new event this Friday: ## A Puzzle and Puzzlehunt Evening 🧩 Start is **18:30 on the 19.06.** at the **SemiTemp** (Rooms 5+6) ### What is it about? At this event, there will be regular **(jigsaw) puzzles**, think along the lines of Ravensburger. You might have already seen some at the Game Jam or Gaming Night.
We’ll bring puzzles ranging from 500 to 1500 pieces, but you’re also welcome to bring your own if you’d like. A **Puzzlehunt** is a format where you solve various riddles and brainteasers that together lead to a final solution word or sentence. It’s often not obvious how to solve the puzzles—or even what the puzzle actually is (this post is not a puzzle).
We’ll take a look at Puzzled Pint, which is released every month and contains a small set of themed puzzles. You can find more information here: https://puzzledpint.org/ We are happy to see you,
Your GamingAG

Blood on the Clocktower evenings in June 2026
by Lars Frost (Fachschaft I/1) 06 Jun '26

06 Jun '26

Dear game enthusiasts, in June, the Fachschaft invites again to Blood on the Clocktower evenings: When will we play? * 2026-06-09 18:30 - 23:00 in ST 3-5 * 2026-06-25 18:30 - 23:00 in ST 2,3,5 We will play in the seminar rooms in SemiTEMP building [1] and will offer free snacks and water. Everyone is welcome, including people from other faculties or friends. No registration required. What is Blood on the Clocktower? Blood on the Clocktower is a social deception game: a game where you try to deceive the enemy team. Those familiar with the game Werewolf will know the general principle. In Blood on the Clocktower there is an evil team with a demon, who can kill a player every night. The good team has to kill the demon. For that, they can execute one player per day. The good team therefore tries to find the demon through their own ability and discussions in small groups and on town square, and then tries to convince their own team to kill the suspected demon. The evil team tries to support and cover up the demon. Unlike Werwolf, dead players can still talk and have one vote after death. Usually, these ghost votes decide who wins on the last day. Also, all players, good and evil, have their own unique role and ability, which gives them power or information. To enable the evil team to better fake other roles, the demon learns 3 roles currently not in play during the start of the game. A round usually takes between 60 and 120 minutes. We explain the rules before the first game. We are looking forward to seeing you, your Spiele-AK [1] https://maps.rwth-aachen.de/navigator/?lang=de&type=roadmap&obj=1665 <https://maps.rwth-aachen.de/navigator/?lang=de&type=roadmap&obj=1665>

Reminder: Expiring examination regulations (B.Sc. Computer Science 2018)
by Lars Frost (Fachschaft I/1) 04 Jun '26

04 Jun '26

Hello everyone, for the Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, the 2018 version of the examination regulations will expire this semester. This means, that after 30th September 2026, degrees can only be achieved under the new examination regulations from 2022. This applies to students in the Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, who began before winter semester 22/23 and have not yet switched to the new examination regulations. The deadline is determined by the date of the last exam. Even taking the colloquium on 1st October 2026 means, that the degree can only be achieved under the rules of the new examination regulations. If you are still under the old regulations and will not finish this semester, you are automatically switched to the new examination regulations. In that case, please note the differences between the old and new regulations, especially the two new mandatory courses that you will then have to take [1]. The Computer Science Student Advisory Service [2] can help you with the specific planning of your own course of study. Best regards, Lars [1] https://sc.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/en/bpo22-wechsel/ [2] https://sc.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/en/fachstudienberatung/
