Invitation Gaming Night & Randomizer Night + Game-Jam Registration Deadline
by David Terhuerne 08 Dez '25

08 Dez '25

Dear MaPhIns and Gaming Friends, This week, the Gaming-AG has three things coming up: a Gaming Night, a Randomizer Night, and the deadline for Game-Jam registration. Later in December, we also have another TTT Online Night. 🥳 Here is all the info: Gaming Night This Friday, Dec 12th at 6:30 PM, we are meeting as usual in the Semi-Temp, Rooms 5 to 8. All kinds of games will be played again, whether on Switch, PC, or card games 🏎️ Depending on attendance, there will also be a Smash and/or Mario Kart tournament; registration takes place via Discord https://linktr.ee/fsmpi_gaming on Friday. The tournaments will start at 7:00 PM. 🏆 There will be free snacks and drinks 🍿 (Please bring your own cups if possible!) If you have a preference for a particular game feel free to bring your own Nintendo Switch, laptops, cartridges or board games, but it's not a must! Also bring your friends - they don't have to be MaPhIn (math-physics-computer science) students If you would like to help out, please come to Augustinerbach 2a at 5:15 PM. We appreciate any help! Online Randomizer Night This weekend, we are hosting another Multiworld Randomizer Night on our Discord https://linktr.ee/fsmpi_gaming that you can join. This time with a Puzzle Theme. 🧩 However, as always, you are welcome to play anything else. 🎉 What is it about? 🤔 You choose a supported game in advance. This game is automatically modded so that you find items for other participants in your game, and they, in turn, unlock items for you. All items are randomized across all games, so your progress in Game A unlocks important items for someone in Game B! While you play, you can chat on our Discord about which items you currently need or stream your game progress. Which games are supported? 🎮 You can sign up with one or multiple short games; the only important thing is that you can finish the games in one evening. Many games also support options that allow you to finish them faster. You can find all supported games on our Discord, and a smaller selection can also be found directly at https://archipelago.gg/games. How do I sign up? ✍️ You need to send us a configuration file (.yaml file), which contains information such as how far you want to play your game. It is important that you register shortly before the start of the event. You can find out more about this and the setup in our Discord https://linktr.ee/fsmpi_gaming. If you have any questions, feel free to write to us in the corresponding Discord https://linktr.ee/fsmpi_gaming channel. Game-Jam Registration Deadline The OSAK and the Gaming-AG present the fourth RWTH Game-Jam. 🥳 You can register until Sun, Dec 14, 2025: https://fsmpi.eu/game-jam Quick Info: - Develop a game as a team matching a given theme - For one weekend at the Computer Science Center (Jan 09–11) - Free snacks, drinks, and food 🍕 - Register as a team or alone - No prior experience necessary - A jury of professors and sponsors will choose a winner later 🏆 Upcoming Dates In addition, we are hosting the following events this semester: - 12.12.2025 Gaming Night - 13./14.12.2025 Multiworld Randomizer Night - 17.12.2025 Gaming-AG Org Meeting - 21.12.2025 TTT Online Night - 09.01.2026 – 11.01.2026: Game-Jam (Registration https://fsmpi.eu/game-jam until 14.12.2025) - 16.01.2026 Gaming Night You can also follow our Instagram account or join our Discord so you don't miss anything. You can find both here https://linktr.ee/fsmpi_gaming. We look forward to seeing you! Your Gaming-AG 🎮

Invitation to Blood on the Clocktower evenings in December
by Lars Frost (Fachschaft I/1) 03 Dez '25

03 Dez '25

Dear game enthusiasts, in December, the Fachschaft invites again to 2 Blood on the Clocktower evenings: When will we play? * 2025-12-06 18:30 - 23:00 in ST 3-5 * 2025-12-18 18:30 - 23:00 in ST 4,7,8 We will play in the seminar rooms in SemiTEMP building [1] and will offer free snacks and water. Everyone is welcome, including people from other faculties or friends. What is Blood on the Clocktower? Blood on the Clocktower is a social deception game: a game where you try to deceive the enemy team. Those familiar with the game Werewolf will know the general principle. In Blood on the Clocktower there is an evil team with a demon, who can kill a player every night. The good team has to kill the demon. For that, they can execute one player per day. The good team therefore tries to find the demon through their own ability and discussions in small groups and on town square, and then tries to convince their own team to kill the suspected demon. The evil team tries to support and cover up the demon. Unlike Werwolf, dead players can still talk and have one vote after death. Usually, these ghost votes decide who wins on the last day. Also, all players, good and evil, have their own unique role and ability, which gives them power or information. To enable the evil team to better fake other roles, the demon learns 3 roles currently not in play during the start of the game. A round usually takes between 60 and 120 minutes. It is possible to join a running game, so it is no problem if you cannot be there from the start. The game has extra roles designed for joining later. We are looking forward to seeing you, your Spiele-AK [1] https://maps.rwth-aachen.de/navigator/?lang=de&type=roadmap&obj=1665 <https://maps.rwth-aachen.de/navigator/?lang=de&type=roadmap&obj=1665>
